Massed Band Concert
After a term of practicing hard all of our hard work paid off as we opened up the concert at the CityGate Centre. Within our set we played When i Grow,Remember me, The last spring and we ended Jitterbug were we had a standing ovation from the audience. We had the chance to Listen to the other 2 bands who played a variety and fun selection of music. The concert finished with a massed band performance with Emily conducting 120 musicians for McCarther Park which just sounded fantastic and for the final piece we had a surprise Bagpipe and Drummer walking through the audience for our last piece Highland Cathedral.




Massed Band Rehearsal
We were delighted to be asked to take part in massed band concert organised by Bournemouth and District Concert band as part of there 30th Anniversary which involved both bands and Christchurch and District Concert band totaling 120 musicians.
We ran a massed band rehearsal morning were got to grips with the massed band pieces each of the bands choose which were:
Christchurch Music Centre: McCarther Park
Christchurch and District: Batman
Bournemouth and District: Moment of the Morricone and Highland Cathedral.
It was a fun rehearsal with our members getting to sit next to new experience players and get the chance toplay within a massed band setting.



NEW FOR 2020!! FIRST BAND
We were excited to launch our First Access Band In January 2020. This band is aimed for any woodwind or brass players just starting out. Run by Cheri Wallace an experience music teach will help and guide players to learm more music while having fun.
If you can play 3 notes or more then this band is for you. To get started please either send us a message either via our contact page, email or Facebook or just pop along to our next rehearsal

Christmas Concert 2019
We once again packed out Christchurch Priory for our Annual Christmas concert. We played lots of Christmas Music and some of the bands favorites including Pirates of the Caribbean.
This concert was made even more special as we were saying a sad good bye to our musical Director Polly Phillips who we thank for guiding us and making rehearsal so much fun throughout her time with us and which her good luck for the future.
Christchurch Christmas Festival 2019
On 23 November 2019 we were happy to open up to the celebrations for the Christchurch Christmas Festival. We played in Saxon Square and played lots of Christmas music to get everybody in to the Christmas mood.

Christchurch Music Centre Has Partnered up with
We are proudly now are working closely with Soundstorm who are funded BCP council and the Art Council to offer music education to local school Children
As a music development agency, SoundStorm has been working across the area and wider Dorset for almost 20 years. From large scale outdoor events to supporting the first musical steps at infant school, we are committed to ensuring that music is accessible to every student. The Music Education Hub has been providing schools in Bournemouth and Poole with musical inputs, performance opportunities and a range of other services since it formed in 2012. We also offer instrument loans and hires, funding for students experiencing financial challenges and ongoing support to music teachers in almost every local school!
We are currently working very closely with SoundStorm for us to help as many local schools children the opportunity to learn and play instruments within a band setting to help them on their musical journeys.

New Milton Music Festival 2019
Well done to our senior band and brass quintet who went up against some tough competition at this years New Milton Music Festival. We received some positive feedback from the judges resulting with the brass quintet receiving a merit the senior band receiving distinction.

Christmas Concert 2018
For our annual Christmas concert at Christchurch Prior we also celebrated our 50th year of making music with Christchurch.
It was a great concert was lots of Christmas music along with some new pieces including the greatest showman which just sounded fantastic and a great peice to end the concert with.
We also had our new brand new brass quintet play their debut showcasing some of our key brass players from the senior band.
For this concert we also teamed up with Julia House who we thank for the refreshment through the break.

Fairmile Grange Nursing Home
CMC were delighted to support our good friends at Fairmile Grange celebrate the Queen's 92nd birthday. Enjoying the first warm weekend of the year the band played to residents in the grounds of the nursing home.
The home had been in a party atmosphere all day and the residents thoroughly enjoyed and danced to music performed by the band. In return, the cakes offered were thoroughly enjoyed by the band.
